I’ve seen this tag on a few Youtubers/Booktubers channel and thought I would answer them myself as it sounded like fun. I would love if any of you answered these too to find out your answers, and please leave a link in the comments if you do (or have already)

    Would You Rather?

    1. Read only trilogies or stand alones?
I think Only Read Stand Alones, while I love some book series’,  I think the ability to change genre with standalone books when I’m not in the mood for certain styles is more important.
    2. Read only female or male authors?
Probably Female Authors, as I haven’t read many male authors, since not many write my favourite genre.
    3. Shop at Waterstones or Amazon?
OK, so I changed the original question from Barnes and Noble to Waterstones, since that’s the UK’s biggest bookshop chain. On one hand I love buying books from physical shops and Waterstones in Piccadilly is heaven on earth, but on the other hand, they generally are more expensive than amazon, so I usually shop either online or in a supermarket, which is terrible I know. What I do wish though is that there were more independent book shops in my local area, I think that if there was one in either my town or the nearest big town that I visit most weeks then I would probably buy more books there than I do at Waterstones. If pushed, I’d say Amazon (especially as I mainly read ebooks haha)
    4. All books become movies or t.v. shows?
Movies. No specific reasons other than I enjoy movies more than TV. Unless it’s Suits, Suits is the best thing on TV, possibly ever.
    5. Read 5 pages per day or 5 books per week?
5 books per week. I would KILL to read that many. 5 pages a day is far to few, I would hate to take 70 days to finish a 350 page book.
    6. Be a professional reviewer or author?
Be a professional reviewer, I think I’d be able to read more than if I was an author, I swear I remember one author saying she barely has any time to read since becoming an author and mother, so while I would love to be an author, I would rather be a reader, and therefore reviewer.
    7. Only read your top 20 favourite books over and over or always read new ones that you haven’t read before?
This is the most difficult. Choosing my top 20 past #3 would be hell on earth for my indecisive mind, as I’ve read so many great books, even ignoring that, Could I bear to give them up? I’m not a massive re-reader, but I like having that option, you know? On the other side of the coin, it’s only 20 books, and I read over 80 last year, so may get tedious. I think that wins out, so I’m picking Only read books I’ve never read before.
    8. Be a librarian or book seller?
Book Seller. Every time I see an empty shop, I’m wondering what it would be like to make it a bookshop, and Simon asks ‘Shall we make that your bookshop Rachel?’ every time we pass one, which is mean really as I don’t think it will ever happen.
There is (may have been sold now) a pub in my town that is for sale, and in need of renovation, and I would love to convert it to a massive bookshop, possibly make a kind of book retreat since it was also a small hotel before. I’ve not been spending too much dreaming about the library hotel in New York, honest!
    9. Only read your favourite genre, or every genre except your favorite?
Only read my favourite genre, easy one, I do like other genres, but always go back to my favourite!
    10. Only read physical books or eBooks?
Ebooks. Not a completely easy choice because I love the beautiful covers, book smell and sometimes just holding a book (unless it’s a hardback, I’m not keen), but I also hate creasing spines by accident, any slight defect in the cover, especially at corners, any creases in pages and dust covers when I have hardbacks. However, ebooks save space in my much crowded flat, easy to fit in most of my bags and I can read with no light on, win-win.
